I am grateful for the principle of prayer. This simple doctrine can have a powerful effect in our lives. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father, who hears and answers our sincere prayers. What a privilege it is to know that we can receive guidance and direction from our Creator. He can guide us in all of our endeavors if we live this principle that the Savior so clearly taught. As we pray to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, we will see His influence in our lives. He can give us peace and comfort amidst the turmoil of the world. I know that if we pray with faith, sincerity, and real intent, then we will feel closer to God.

Building Strong Families
"Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentence, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities." - The Family: A Proclamation to the World
As David O'McKay said, I know that "No other success can compensate for failure in the home." Our families are the most important thing that we have. They are the only thing that we can bring with us after this life. In an unsteady world, our homes should be a place of refuge and safety. This can be achieved by living the principles that the Savior and his disciples taught. I am grateful for The Gospel of Jesus Christ and for the knowledge that families can be together forever.
